Milo in2Cricket

The Milo in2CRICKET program is a fun and exciting way for younger children to get their first taste of cricket.

The Gordon Juniors Cricket Club runs an excellent in2Cricket centre at Beauchamp Park, Chatswood, every Saturday morning during the season.

The program’s aim is to allow children to have fun while learning the basic skills of the game. We want children to start a lifelong love of cricket through our enjoyable program. We also find children benefit greatly from in2Cricket when they eventually step up to Under 9s for Gordon.

Our in2Cricket centre is open for boys and girls aged 5 to 8.

The main aims of the program are:

• To provide a non-competitive environment where youngsters can develop their cricket skills and have fun.
• To link young cricketers to their local cricket club.
• To get more parents actively involved in the game.

Milo in2Cricket is the first step in a child's long term involvement in the game of cricket.

Program Details

• The program runs Saturday mornings at Beauchamp Park, Nicholson St, Chatswood.
• The first Saturday is October 15, 2011 and the last Saturday before the Christmas break is December 10, 2011.
• The program re-starts following the school holidays and runs from January 28, 2012 until March 3, 2012. 
• Each session starts at 8am and ends at 9.30am.
• The players are divided into teams by the Centre Co-ordinator. They practice their cricketing skills during the first half of the session. Following a drinks break, they play a modified game during the second half of the session.
• All cricket equipment is provided.
• Children must wear sunscreen at all times and bring a drink. They must also wear their regular sports shoes
• Special in2CRICKET Centre shirt and shorts are to be purchased and worn at every session.
• As all communication will be conducted by email, it is important each family provides an active email address, which should be regularly checked for messages. A regular electronic newsletter will be circulated with useful information and pertinent cricketing news.

in2Cricket Shirts and Shorts

All players must wear the special in2Cricket Centre shirt and shorts, which are provided by the Centre at a cost of $50. The shirts range in sizes 4 (60 cm chest) and upwards increasing in 5 cm steps to size 12 (80 cm chest) as indicated on the registration form. The shirt and shorts size required should be clearly marked on the in2Cricket Centre Chatswood Registration Form to assist correct fitting.

The Gordon District in2Cricket has been in operation for more than 13 years.
