in2Cricket's Season of Fun |
Water Balloons A Hit As We Look to 2013/14Our in2Cricket players look set for a bumper 2013/14 after a fun-filled end to a fantastic season with Gordon Juniors. Players brought along balloons filled with water which were used for a special drill - and to drench the head coach much to the delight of all! My thanks to all the boys and girl, siblings and parents for making it a really great season. We had more than 130 players registered for Milo in2Cricket at our club's centre at Beauchamp Park in Chatswood this season. Each week the players and parents turned up with big smiles for a morning of fun while learning the skills of cricket. These are skills vital to building the confidence of the boys and girls as they advance into Under 9s and beyond. One season highlight was Bring Your Sister Day where a huge number of girls came along to experience the cricket fun. It was great to see sisters, mums, grandmothers, aunties and friends all there. It is worth noting that Kirsten Levy, one of our regular coaches and a Gordon Women's player, suggested the idea of the day. Well done, Kirsten. Another highlight was everyone giving so generously for the club's Pink Stumps Day. Our fabulous in2Cricket community raised $232.15 for the McGrath Foundation. I look forward to seeing all our 130 smiling boys and girls - plus many more - in September when the 2013/14 season kicks off. Again, my thanks go to all the wonderful parents for getting involved this season. Being a part of your child's cricket experience makes them enjoy themselves even more.
